Morgan Twamley
Morgan Twamley joined Ojala-Barbour Law Firm in 2024 with many years of experience in immigration law. After serving in the Peace Corps in Nicaragua, she became interested in immigration legal matters and worked as a legal assistant for nearly four years on employment-based immigration applications. She speaks fluent Spanish.
Morgan attended law school at the University of St. Thomas where she revived the Immigration Law Society, a student group focused on educating students, faculty, and the community on immigration law. During law school, she clerked with the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) working on U visa applications and VAWA petitions for victim-survivors of domestic violence. She also served as a certified student attorney in the Criminal and Juvenile Defense Clinic and spent a year clerking for a private firm where she worked on asylum cases, civil rights lawsuits, and other litigation. After graduating from law school, Morgan clerked in the DOJ Honor's Program with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) Office of Legal Access Programs in Falls Church, Virginia. While at EOIR, Morgan managed orientation programs for custodians of unaccompanied minors across the country, conducting site visits in various cities and supporting services in immigration courts. She is dedicated to supporting legal access to immigration processes and participating in pro bono immigration work.
Morgan represents clients in removal proceedings and family-based immigration cases. She particularly enjoys working with young people and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA) Immigration Law Section.
